So on Monday at work (I work part-time as a supervisor at a Kumon Learning Center), I was leaving after we were done with class. A brother and his 2 sisters were waiting for their mom to come pick them up. The brother asks me how old I am....
"How about you guys guess how old I am."
One guesses 16, another says 17, the youngest guesses 27.
"Ok, you were the closest. I'm 25! Thanks guys, I AM young for my age."
...I spoke to soon...
Without hesitation, one asks me, "Are you married?"
Nope.
Unprovoked, the TEN year old says to me, "It's okay...you'll find someone."
WHAT?! How and why is this 8 year old telling me, in a genuinely pleasant way, that I'm a lonely loser. Needless to say, I high fived her and left...to the Little Caesar's next door, got a large pizza, and ate it all by myself at home. But then again, I always eat a whole pizza at least once a week regardless of what noob kids think of me.
The moral of this story? Nothing can stop me from getting myself a pizza. God, I love pizza!
